Okay, I’ll talk about it. Recently I discovered I was at a place I NEVER thought I’d be, NEVER. The Song of Solomon 2:15-17 says it’s the little foxes that spoil the vine, the small, SEEMINGLY “no harm” activities that draw us away from our relationship with the Lord. For example, the phone, notification after notification DINGING DISTRACTIONS, and one (not several, just one) television program drew me away from the most important person to me aside from my husband, my First Love Jesus Christ. I looked up and “the fear of the Lord” along with my consecration had faded into the background and I didn’t even know it until I tried to engage the same way. Those little distractions chewed away at the root, the foundational things in my relationship with the Lord. Sometimes we don’t know we’re addicted until we try and stop but still yield to the pull. The things connected to the world had got in my spirit and I didn’t even know it.
Take heed that anything that holds our attention a little too long and entraps our focus other than God, and “the things of God” is a red flag. That is a signal to our spirit that danger and darkness is present and at work. BUT thank God for His undying love, grace, mercy and the power of His Word that delivered my soul and reset my spirit through CONFESSION AND SINCERE repentance found in Proverbs 28:13-14, Isaiah 57:15 and Ephesians 5:15. I pray this enlightens someone’s darkness and sets you free, in Jesus Name. Blessings!
